Hoy toca hablar de una leyenda, Michael Jackson. Se marchó, de repente, sin decir nada, y nadie se lo esperaba.. Pero bueno, la vida es así, y no vale la pena recordarlo por todos los supuestos problemas que tenía, ya que luego salieron los propios causantes a decir la verdad, lo único que querían era sacarle el dinero, y eso no puede ser.. Hay que recordarlo por lo que de verdad se merece, su música y su manera de bailar, sin duda ha dejado huella en nuestra historia, por lo menos en la mia.
Se movía de manera única y le salía de dentro, vivía la música, la sentía suya.. Él era puro arte, y en la película "This is it" lo demuestra. La película esta hecha a base de grabaciones de sus ultimos ensayos que Michael pensaba guardarlos para su disfrute personal. En la película se demuestra que no estaba acabado como la gente decía y que iba a ser un espectáculo impresionante con todas las letras I-M-P-R-E-S-I-O-N-A-N-T-E.
En fin, no me queda mucho mas que decir..

William of Ockham

William of Ockham, born in the village of Ockham in Surrey (England) about 1285, was the most influential philosopher of the 14th century and a controversial theologian.
He entered the Franciscan order at an early age and took the traditional course of theological studies at Oxford. Strong opposition to his opinions from members of the theological faculty prevented him from obtaining his Master's degree. His teaching had also aroused the attention of Pope John XXII, who summoned him to the papal court in Avignion (France) in 1324.

The charges against him were presented by Jogh Lutterell, the former chancellor of the university of Oxford. Ockham was never condemned, but in 1327, while residing in Avignion, he became involved in the dispute over apostolic poverty. When this controversy reached a critical stage in 1328, and the Pope was about to issue a condemnation of the position held by the Franciscans, Ockham and two other Franciscans fled from Avignion to seek the protection of Emperor Louis IV, the Bavarian.

They followed the emperor to Munich (Germany) in 1330, where Ockham wrote fervently against the papacy in a series of treatises on papal power and civil sovereignty. The medieval rule of parsimony, or principle of economy, frequently used by Ockham came to be known as Ockham's razor. The rule, which said that plurality should not be assumed without necessity (or, in modern English, keep it simple, stupid), was used to eliminate many pseudo-explanatory entities.

It is believed that he died in a convent in Munich in 1349, a victim of the Black Death. His name, spelled Occam, lives on in the names of streets and restaurants in Munich ... and in the brave new world of high-performance safety-critical parallel computing.

PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE

Form:

USE:

1-e use the Present Perfect to say that an action happened at an unspecified time before now. The exact time is not important. You CANNOT use the Present Perfect with specific time expressions such as: yesterday, one year ago, last week, when I was a child, when I lived in Japan, at that moment, that day, one day, etc. We CAN use the Present Perfect with unspecific expressions such as: ever, never, once, many times, several times, before, so far, already, yet, etc.

That is a very difficult question, i don't have a favourite writer, there are a lot of good writers and i like all of them.

The typical thing to say its.. oh! i like very much J.K. Rowling, but this is very.. simple, harry potter is great but we have to read more books.

Past Simple & Past Continuous

PAST SIMPLE

Form:

[VERB+ed] or irregular verbs.

USE:

1-Use the Simple Past to express the idea that an action started and finished at a specific time in the past. Sometimes, the speaker may not actually mention the specific time, but they do have one specific time in mind.
Examples:
·I saw a movie yesterday.
·I didn't see a play yesterday.
·Last year, I traveled to Japan.

2-We use the Simple Past to list a series of completed actions in the past. These actions happen 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on.
Examples:
·I finished work, walked to the beach, and found a nice place to swim.
·He arrived from the airport at 8:00, checked into the hotel at 9:00, and met the others at 10:00.

3- The Simple Past can be used with a duration which starts and stops in the past. A duration is a longer action often indicated by expressions such as: for two years, for five minutes, all day, all year, etc.
Examples:
·I lived in Brazil for two years.
·Shauna studied Japanese for five years.

4-The Simple Past can also be used to describe a habit which stopped in the past. It can have the same meaning as "used to." To make it clear that we are talking about a habit, we often add expressions such as: always, often, usually, never, when I was a child, when I was younger, etc.
Examples:
·I studied French when I was a child.
·He played the violin.
·He didn't play the piano.

5-The Simple Past can also be used to describe past facts or generalizations which are no longer true. As in USE 4 above, this use of the Simple Past is quite similar to the expression "used to."

PAST CONTINUOUS

Form:

[was/were + present participle]

USE:

1-Use the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the past was interrupted. The interruption is usually a shorter action in the Simple Past. Remember this can be a real interruption or just an interruption in time.
Examples:
·I was watching TV when she called.
·When the phone rang, she was writing a letter.
·While we were having the picnic, it started to rain.

2-In USE 1, described above, the Past Continuous is interrupted by a shorter action in the Simple Past. However, you can also use a specific time as an interruption.
Examples:
·Last night at 6 PM, I was eating dinner.
·At midnight, we were still driving through the desert.

3-When you use the Past Continuous with two actions in the same sentence, it expresses the idea that both actions were happening at the same time. The actions are parallel.
Examples:
·I was studying while he was making dinner.
·While Ellen was reading, Tim was watching television.
·Were you listening while he was talking?

4-In English, we often use a series of parallel actions to describe the atmosphere at a particular time in the past.
Example:
·When I walked into the office, several people were busily typing, some were talking on the phones, the boss was yelling directions, and customers were waiting to be helped. One customer was yelling at a secretary and waving his hands. Others were complaining to each other about the bad service.

5-The Past Continuous with words such as "always" or "constantly" expresses the idea that something irritating or shocking often happened in the past. Las Fallas is a feast held from 14 to 19 March in some cities and towns in the Community of Valencia (Spain), including mainly in Valencia. Also called feasts josefinas or festes de Sant Josep (Valencia) are held in honor of St. Joseph, patron saint of carpenters. It is designated as International Tourist Interest party. The denomination fault lies with the construction of artistic combustible materials as a whole, representing figures known as ninots and compositions of elements. Throughout history materials have evolved, but traditionally, these were ninots paper, wood and cardboard. Currently the most voluminous are made of cork white, as they allow more light and forms larger. In Valencia, with the habit of extending the name to all aspects, it also extends to the generic name of the holiday as well as the grouping of neighbors who are neplačila the commission, its members being known as falleros and Falleras. Each committee neplačila, each group falleros, ground fault (a monument) entering contest.

My fallas: It started the night of the 14th with my school party, it was very good, like always, after the party, we went to a restaurant. The next day (Saturday 15th) I went to the MAXIMA FM party, this was excellent!! good music, good people, all was good, a perfect night, and after the party, we went to the "rio" to see the "castillo", that night was very good; the next days, was always party, at nights, we went to the places with music and young people, i like that very much, in special, the night of tuesday 18th, i think it was the most perfect night in all fallas; and the last day, la "cremà", I saw the "cremà" of the falla Maestro Gozalbo, it started at 3:25 aprox, and finished at 4:00 -4:15.

It was the best fallas i have lived in all my life!

The Halloween that is celebrated today, today, begun more than 3.000 years in Ireland as a harvest festival of the Celts. To the Celts, changing stations became of paramount importance magic.

Samhain festival was the most important, since it was the last day of harvest and the beginning of winter. Specifically this festival was celebrated was held in late October and early November.

On the night of October 31 souls of the dead returned to visit homes earthly. The Celts believed that on that night the window that separated the world of the living from the dead and disappeared. To keep these happy spirits and evil spirits away from their homes leaving the Celts or sweet food outside their homes. This tradition has been maintained over time and has become what we now call trick or ploy (treatment or trick), where children go from house to house asking for candy.

But how do I became 1st November became the All Saints' Day, a day of prayer to honor the saints?

With the passage of time and according to the historical facts the Romans conquered the Celts, they influenced the world with their Celtic festivals in the Roman goddess of the harvest, Pamona. Later with the arrival of Christians felt that the Celts worshiped the devil, but the devil never existed in the Celtic religion. Christians determined that the way to turn the Celts to Christianity was taking the festival of the Celts and turn it into a religious group. So on 31 October became the eve of All Saints' Day (all hallow's eve) and hence the name Halloween.

The Celts never accepted Christian traditions and that is why they are still in force tonight traditions of magic, witches and ghosts. Today in October households are decorated with pumpkins, witches, ghosts, black cats and skeletons. On the night of October 31 people dress up, children leave trick-or-treet or see horror films.

Recipe:

Eerie EyeballsYields approximately 9 dozen bite-sized eyeballs3 oz (small box) lemon gelatin (can be sugar-free)1 cup hot water1/2 cup miniature marshmallows1 cup pineapple juice8 oz cream cheese (can be lowfat/Neufchatel)

Dissolve lemon gelatin in 1 cup water in double boiler, add marshmallows and stir to melt. Remove from heat. Add pineapple juice and cream cheese. Beat until well blended. Cool slightly. If you have a truffle candy mold or round ice cube trays, spary them with non-stick cooking spray first, then pour the mixture in the molds and leave to set in the fridge. Otherwise pour into a deep ceramic dish and chill until thickened or firm enough for scooping into eyeballs. Using a melonballer, scoop full balls of the mixture and set aside for decoration. To decorate, use liquid food coloring and an old detail paintbrush and get creative. You will need black food coloring for the pupils. Also, if you are in a hurry, instead of painting the colored irises, you can carefully dip the ball in a small pool of food coloring to approximate the iris, but still paint on the pupils. Note: if you are using the melonballer method, you might need to add one package of plain gelatin to your mixture. The molds work fine with just the lemon gelatin to make gently squishy eyeballs.For 1999, I found rubber ice cube trays that worked beautifully with much less waste than the melonballer technique. I sprayed the rubber trays with non-stick cooking spray beforehand like you would any gelatin mold, let the gelatin mixture sit in the refrigerator to set, then I was able to carefully pop the eyeballs out to paint them. Some of the eyeballs did break, and they do have one flat side, but that actually works, since then they don't roll around while you are trying to paint them. Since 2001 I have found that Wilton truffle candy molds are even better, since the swirl design on the top is the right size for the cornea shape on the eyeball. When using the truffle molds, one recipe makes about 9 dozen eyeballs - plenty for a party crowd!

Paris!!!

Last 5th September, we went to the airport to catch an aeroplane and after go to Paris!!
We arrive maybe at half past 7, i don't know.. we arrive at the house, there was little..
but enough for us..
We saw the louvre, it was enormous.. inside we saw the mona lisa.. the venus of nilo and the 3/4 part of the museum.. Also we see Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower, that second was too big and beautiful, i raised to the third floor, and the view was so beautiful...
We went to a lot of places in Paris, the city was so fantastic, and i love it...

Inside the city there are a lot of museums, the louvre, arts et metiers....etc, etc...

A wonderful city, and i want to return to paris..!!

The camp began the 16 of august, i went to the america square, the was a lot of people there, i knew people from last camp, but there was other people. I went to the bus, and i sat down at the end of the bus with my friends. When we arrive to the "Casal" (the camp was here) we do a little game presentation, and after we go to the rooms, I was in a room for four people. After eating
we had free time, and after we do more presentation games, and at night we do a little game; and this was the first day. The second day were the first english classes, we did an exam (there was oral and write) at the afternoon we do more english classes, and a game at the night. At the third day the teachers do two classes (the advanced english, and the low english; i was in the advanced class..) and after that we had class. We had six hours of english every day.. At all of the camp we did some excursions, to the Palmar, to Aquopolis, L'Albufera.. and every day we went to the beach, and we did some parties, and thats all. The 31 august we went back to Valencia, and some days we go to the center..
There was a very very good camp..

Last 4 of June I go to Ibiza to Saint Miquel Port; it was a great week on holidays, but that week it happened a serious accident the Ibiza's port; a boat of iscomar that transported fuel, hit against a rock in exit of Ibiza's port. Several pipes were broken and a lot of fuel left the containers and contaminated some beaches. The boat counted on 100 tons of fuel and 50 tons of diesel oil. The boat leave a spot of refuel in the water, that arrive some beaches, but I happened through next to the sunk boat and I didn't saw anything

What is bullying?

Bullying is when someone keeps doing or saying things to have power over another person. Some of the ways they bully other people are by: calling them names, saying or writing nasty things about them, leaving them out of activities, not talking to them, threatening them, making them feel uncomfortable or scared, taking or damaging their things, hitting or kicking them, or making them do things they don't want to do. Have any of these things happened to you? Have you done any of these things to someone else? Really, bullying is wrong behaviour which makes the person being bullied feel afraid or uncomfortable.

There are a lot of reasons why some people bully. They may see it as a way of being popular, or making themselves look tough and in charge. Some bullies do it to get attention or things, or to make other people afraid of them. Others might be jealous of the person they are bullying. They may be being bullied themselves.Some bullies may not even understand how wrong their behaviour is and how it makes the person being bullied feel.

If you see someone else being bullied you should always try to stop it. If you do nothing, you're saying that bullying is okay with you.It's always best to treat others the way you would like to be treated.You should show the bully that you think what they're doing is stupid and mean. Help the person being bullied to tell an adult they can trust.

T.S. is preparing for a trip to Universal Studios Florida with his girlfriend Brandi , during which he plans to propose to her; however, the two have an argument and break up after Brandi tells him she can't go because she's volunteered to fill in as a contestant on Truth or Date, her dad's "cheesy Dating Game rip-off" TV show. T.S. turns to his comic book-loving best friend Brodie , who has also been dumped by his girlfriend Rene , and Brodie suggests the two might find solace at the local mall.
Brodie and T.S. discover Truth or Date is shooting at the same mall, and ask local ne'er-do-wells Jay and Silent Bob to destroy the show's stage , a task for which they devise elaborate but ultimately unsuccessful plans. Brodie also finds out Rene is being pursued by his nemesis , a clothing store manager who hates Brodie because of his "lack of a shopping agenda," and has nefarious plans for Rene, intending to seduce her and then have sex 'in a very uncomfortable place' with her. A running joke is that this is interpreted as the 'back of a Volkswagen'.

Between seeking romantic advice from Stan Lee and debating such topics as the sexual proclivities of comic-book characters and the status of a cookie stand located outside the official food court, the two run into various acquaintances, including a sex researcher who happens to be a minor, and a guy who spends all day trying to see the hidden image of a sailboat in a Magic Eye poster. The Fallas are a Valencian tradition which celebrates Saint Joseph's Day.
Each neighbourhood of the city has an organized group of people, the Casal faller, that works all year long holding fundraising parties and dinners, usually featuring the famous speciality paella, and of course much music and laughter.
Each casal faller produces a construction known as a falla which is eventually burnt.

In my school we have "Fallas" too, the week is celebrated is called Semana D... in all the week, we do things for the "Falla" and the last day, we burn our "Falla"

In the Valencian Fallas, we celebret some acts:

The Ofrenda: is an act that all the "comites falleros" go to the virgen square, to put flowers in the "Virgen"

La nit del foc: "La nit del foc" is a big castle of fireworks, is very beautiful, and more people, go to see it.

La crema: "La crema" is the last night, and all Valencia burn the "Fallas"

We have more acts, but i don't know all.

Egypt

On the Eve of Christmas everyone goes to church wearing a completely new outfit. The Christmas service ends at midnight with the ringing of church bells, then people go home to eat a special Christmas meal known as fata, which consists of bread, rice, garlic and boiled meat.
On Christmas morning people in Egypt visit friends and neighbors. They take with them kaik which is a type of shortbread, which they take with them to give to the people they visit and eaten with a drink known as shortbat. Christmas Day is a public holiday for Christians.

Slovakia

Christmas trees in Slovakia go up on Christmas Eve.
They go to church on Christmas Eve and return to a traditional dinner. The dinner consists of two main dishes. These are sauerkraut soup, and fish and potatoes salad.

After dinner they go to the Christmas tree where they find Christmas presents.

Magic The Gathering or MTG is a collectable card game(based on the average Earth, with its dragoons, magicians, and other characters)designed in 1993 by Richard Garfield, a professor of mathematics, and commercialized by Wizards of the Coast.
The game that revolutionize the card games of fantasy and strategy.
Periodically it is making new editions of extensions, that serve to extend history, and simultaneously the own letter game. These cards are sold in packages of 15, or individually.
The game consists of a game between two players (sometimes they can be more), with a deck of 60 cards each one, and with a life of 20 points, must obtain that his opponent remains with the life to 0 points, for it they used attacks with creatures, or cards with magic that clears life to its opponent.
The editions are grouped by cycles, in which they predominate a type of character.

A natural disaster is the consequence of the combination of a natural hazard (a physical event, volcanic eruption, earthquake, landslide) and human activities.
The different natural hazards that there is are:
-Avalanche, earthquake, lahar, landslides and mudflows, sinkholes, supervolcano, flood, limnic, eruption, maelstrom, tsunami, blizzard, drought, hailstorm, heat wave, hurricans, tropical cyclones and typhoons, ice age, tornado, wildfire, epidemic, famine, impact event, solar flare.
The last famous natural disasters have been:
-The Katrina: The first hurricane that reached category 5 in the season of hurricanes 2005 of the Atlantic. It was the third more powerful storm of the season and the sixth hurricane more hard since there are registries.
It was a grat tropical revolving storm that whipped the south and the center of the United States in August of 2005. It produce great destructions in Florida, Bahamas, Luisana, the Mississipi and New Orleans.
-The Tsunami: the most devastating series of tsunamis happened the 26 of December of 2004 in the Indean Ocean, with a number of victims directly attributed to the swell superior to the 250 thousand people. The more affected zones were Indonesia and Thailand, althought the devastating effects reached zones located to thousand of kilometers: Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldivas and even Somalia, in the East of Africa.

Now i'm going to talk you about christmas in Spain.
First we doe the christmas eve, in this day, we have dinner in family, and in this night, santa claus, goes to all houses. Next day is christmas day, we eat in family, and get presents of our family.
In 31st we celebrate the new year eve, in this day at night we celebrate a party, and we are awake until very late. And in 6th january, we celebrate the day of the magical kings.

Last 4 of september was a fire in the Space Tower in Madrid.It was begun at 11 o'clock.
A total of 50 firemen raised 43 floors on foot, in order to be able to reach the flames of the tower Space, the work building that at night of the past Monday caught fire and that will be the quarter upper of the city when it is finished.

I usually get up at 7:30, but often i get up at 8.00. At 8:20 i take the bus to school (is the Gomez Bus), when i arrive at class, i put the jacket on the chair and sit on. At 11:30 we go to the garden to eat, to eat, and more things...
at 12:00 the garden finish and we enter to class. at 13:40 we go to the garden, to go to eat, and play, and bla, bla, bla.
At 15:30 we enter to class. The school finish at 16:30, and i go to the bus to go to my house.
In my house i do the homework, play in the computer and have a shower. At 22:00 i have dinner, at 23:30 i go to bed.
And........sleep, sleep, sleep, zZz zZz zZz zZz.
